Emily Herndon is a singer/songwriter with an easy smile and gently effortless voice. Often compared to Joni Mitchell, she’s known for soothing and relaxing her audiences with just her guitar. But when it came to writing her EP “Haunted,” she and co-writer/ producer Josh Doyle dove into deliciously dark themes with heavy-handed instrumentation to back them up, achieving a spookiness that’s both ethereal and chilling at the same time.
