Singer-Songwriter KRAMIES announces new EP with help from the rosters of Black Keys, Grandaddy, Band of Horses and Train.

PRESS RELEASE: SEPT 2022

American singer-songwriter KRAMIES has announced his new self-titled LP, set for release on 9 September 2022.

Like a sentimental old scrapbook with tattered pages filled with faded photos, nostalgic old postcards and haphazard handwritten notes, the stunning new record expertly weaves together hazy memories and stirring stories with heart-wrenching precision.

Produced by and featuring a whole host of special guests including Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Tyler Ramsey of Band of Horses and Jerry Becker of Train, as well as an appearance from Jim Bogis who has played with Counting Crows and Stevie Nicks, the record showcases a huge spectrum of creativity and sound in a short span of time.

With tracks touching on death, addiction and the echoes of nostalgia, ‘Kramies’ deftly blends a range of emotionally-charged themes with gauzy, heart-rending melodies and glimmering dream-pop rhythms that hark back to snapshots of moments and feelings lost somewhere in time.

Featuring earlier singles including the elegant and ornate “Days Of” (featuring Patrick Carney of The Black Keys and Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle), bittersweet folk cut “Ohio I’ll Be Fine” and floaty and faraway “Hotel in LA”, the record blurs the boundaries between eerie real-life scenarios and mystical, fairytale-laden myths.

From the tender, stripped-back “You’d Be The Fall”, to the glittery folk acoustics on “Horses To Maine” and from the sprawling cinematic soundscapes on “4.44am” to the eerie and atmospheric ballad “Flowers From The Orphan”, the new record manages to simultaneously lift spirits and tug on heartstrings in a beat.

With a career spanning almost fifteen years and a long string of releases that have earned him the title of “the dream-pop troubadour”, Kramies’ knack for eerie and ethereal songwriting has gained the attention of Billboard, Clash, NPR and the BBCamongst others, with his most recent single “Hotel in LA” being praised for its “ethereal quality of a waking dreamscape” by Under The Radar. Much of his success has come from his ability to be himself and stick to his clear artistic vision, and this new LP sees Kramies grow even more comfortable with his own unique way of working.

Pushing his craft as an outsider who has firmly forged his own path, the self-titled release is not just the next step for Kramies on his path as an artist, but an assured new beginning for him as a whole.
